Spring is here—let's make this season count!
This is the season of new beginnings, and one of the best ways to get your spring fitness routine started is with a workout that's fresh and fun.
If you're looking for something new to try this season, here are some of our favourite spring workout routines:
#1: Try a HIIT workout (high-intensity interval training)! This kind of workout is great for someone who wants to burn fat and tone up quickly. It can be done just about anywhere—in your backyard, in a park, or even at home! Just make sure you have enough space!
#2: Take advantage of those beautiful days by hiking! Hiking is a great way to get your heart rate up while getting some fresh air. It also helps build endurance and muscle strength.
#3: Try yoga! Yoga is an amazing way to relieve stress while strengthening muscles and improving flexibility. It's also good for people with injuries because it doesn't put too much pressure on injured areas like running does. So if you have any issues with your knees or ankles, yoga might be better for you
#4: Take advantage of spring weather by going for a run outside in your local park or along one of the trails near where you live (or even better: both!). Running outside has been shown to improve moods and reduce stress levels.
#5: Try Mat Pilates! It is a great way to get fit and healthy without having to do anything too strenuous. It's also great because it can be done anywhere—from your home, to the park, or even on a mountain top!
Remember that it's important to think about what kind of workout routine will work best for your body—and your goals.
And CONSISTENCY IS KEY!
According to Phillippa Lally; a health psychology researcher at University College London, a new habit usually takes a little more than 2 months — 66 days to be exact. So if you're trying to get yourself into the habit of working out three times a week, that means you need to be consistent for at least 7 weeks before you'll really feel comfortable doing it every week without having to think too hard about it.
But don't let the stats shake your resolve as you can even achieve this in 21 days with the right determination.
Take small but consistent measures every single day and gradually build up a habit. Set a time for exercise everyday and make sure that you hold yourself accountable (especially if not everyone else is going to workout with you).
This way, when those 21 days are over, you'll feel like an expert — even if the only thing that changed was your MINDSET!
You've got the workout and the mindset, now it's time to get your space in order.
